Cargo ship Kayan 1 in trouble near Istanbul, Turkey
The Kayan 1, a 5,600 tones cargo ship, registered in Sierra Leone has run aground in bad weather near Istanbul, Turkey.
Shipping around the Sea of Marmara and in the Bosporus is being adversely affected by the accident.
The Kayan 1 is also reported to have brushed against the vessels Slochterdiep and Adria Blu during the incident.
The crew are all reported to have been evacuated by the Turkish Coastguard.
