The Olympic sailing competition reaches the medal stages today in the Finn and Star classes.
Weymouth Harbour is sunny and breezy for what is already proving to be an exciting afternoon of racing.
In the Star race Team GB’s Iain Percy and Andrew Simpson were in a strong position to defend their Olympic title.
However they could only finish 7th leaving the door open for Fredrik Loof & Max Salminen of Sweden to win the Olympic gold medal.
Great Britain’s Ben Ainslie is also strongly placed in his quest to become the most decorated Olympic sailor ever.
His main competitors are Danish sailor Jonas Hogh-Christensen and Pieter-Jan Postma of the Netherlands.
We are tracking the Finn Star CB boat via an on-board AIS system.
